How I landed into Podcasting from Broadcasting?

          My podcasting journey was driven by my adaptability in the face of seismic shifts in the industry. After years in the US Hispanic Spanish-speaking industry, I found myself in a challenging situation in my forties, having been laid off three times in just five years. This period coincided with the surge in social media and digital marketing, and I was right in the middle. The need to adapt and seize opportunities became clear as I worked to keep my skills current in an industry where advertisers rapidly shifted their budgets from traditional media to digital platforms.

    <span>

          Yet, there's a truth I've often shied away from: the pervasive influence of race, the constant scrutiny of my intelligence based on my appearance and accent. My success in Miami was mainly due to the strong connections I fostered with my college friends, which opened doors to valuable internships and opportunities. I firmly believed that 'my network truly determined my net worth.' My relocation to LA was also a testament to the power of long-standing friendships and collaborations with colleagues I had worked with for over a decade. The impact of these relationships on my success cannot be overstated. However, when those ties began to loosen, many of us found ourselves in a scramble, realizing we had become overly reliant on a single source of income for our survival
